Measuring approximately 5×6″, this glass decor is a perfect size to bring a breath of winter to your space. Whether you add to your office, or brighten up your mantle, this piece of art is a peaceful addition to any space.

Display your touchable fused glass art in your choice of wooden block display or clear acrylic easel. Either of the display options allow light to travel through the glass, for a sparkling and glowing display!

How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the Winter Buck Standup using multiple steps. First, we cut and polish the glass to the appropriate size. Next, we prepare the deer design and expose a silk screen. Using glass enamels, we print the design onto the surface of the glass. We use glass powders to apply the layer of snow, then arrange the birch trees  on top. Carefully, we place glass frits for snow around the design.

Once the pieces are arranged, we place the glass into the kiln. We fire the glass to a melt everything together, ensuring a contoured surface. The colour is the glass itself, you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading or washing off.

During the firing, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the glass is increased, so you know the Winter Buck Standup will last for as long as you own the glass art.
