Measuring approximately 1-1/2” wide, this fused glass Water Tower Pendant will remind you of warm summer days at the beach and best friends to share some fun in the sun!

Each pendant is individually handcrafted; this along with the unique glass created in-studio ensures no two pendants are alike. Kiln-fired and annealed, this beachy pendant makes a touchable talisman. The blended colours in this summer necklace are comprised of the glass itself. As a result, the colour will stay true for as long as you own the jewelry.

The Water Tower Pendant pairs perfectly with your favourite summer sundress to make you feel like the summer goddess you really are. 

This fused glass summer necklace comes standard with a black satin weave rayon cord. This means it is great for friends with allergies to metal chains.  The cord is approximately 24” long, with adjustable knots that slide.  This allows you to just slip the necklace over your head.  Wear at full length with a high necked blouse, or adjust to a shorter length depending on the neckline of your shirt.  It will adjust as small as a choker style.

How’s it made?

We create Water Tower Pendant using multiple steps. First, we design and create a silk screen stencil. Next, we create the background glass using frits and powders, firing the pieces into a thick, smooth sheet.

Once the sheet has cooled, we cut and polish the glass to the correct size. Then, the cabochon is fired to a contour temperature, ensuring the shape of the pendant is not lost.

After the pendant cools, we screen print the design onto the surface of the glass using the prepared screen and enamels. Then, we return the pendant to the kiln to sinter the enamels into the surface of the glass. During the firing process, the glass is annealed. This means the internal stresses within the glass are relieved, giving strength and durability to the jewelry.

Finally, when the pendant has cooled for the final time, we drill the cabochon for the wire bail, then tie the cord to finish the jewelry.
