Have you ever caught the perfect snowflake on a winters day? Keep these tiny snowflakes forever with the Swirling Snowflake Pendant. With your choice of colour, it’s sure to be the perfect fit.

Lightweight in design, this fused glass pendant is a joy to wear, at any length you choose. The colours in the Swirling Snowflake Pendant are the glass itself. The design is screen printed using glass enamels, and kiln fired into the surface of the glass. Because the colour is the glass itself, you never have to worry about the colour fading or washing off.

How it’s made:

The Swirling Snowflake Pendant is created using multiple steps. First, we create the snowflake design and expose into a silk screen. Next, we cut a sheet of glass to the appropriate size. Using glass enamels, we print the design onto the glass. We place the glass into the kiln as a full sheet, then fire the design to sinter it into the surface of the glass.

When the glass cools, we cut the sheet to the various sizes for pendants. We shape the glass using a grinder, and cut a clear circle to match the size. Once we have washed and dried the pieces, we return the glass to the kiln to be fused together.

During the firing process, the pendant is annealed for durability. Because of this, the pendant is strong enough for daily wear. With multiple size options for these pendants, you can choose the size that suits you best.

We drill the pendant to allow for the wire jewelry bail, and string the black satin weave rayon cording. We tie the cord using a double sliding knot, which allows the pendant length to be adjusted from approximately 25″ long, to as short as a choker style necklace.
