How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the Sunflower Fields Standup using multiple steps. First, we cut and polish the turquoise glass to the appropriate size. Then, we cut the golden petals from sheet glass and shape them to fit. Once arranged, we add brown glass frits for textured seeds. Next, we kiln fire the pieces to melt the design elements into the glass. The colour is the glass itself, you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading or washing off. During the firings, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the glass is increased, so you know it will easily withstand regular use.
