Measuring approximately 1” in diameter, this summer necklace will catch eyes, compliments, and questions. The warm colour can easily coordinate with many summer outfits, and the touchable texture will have your fingers worrying any summer stress far away!
Exclusive Strawberry Margarita Recipe
- 10 oz frozen strawberries
- Ice
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 1 oz orange liqueur
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
- 2 oz strawberry puree
- lime wedge and coarse salt or sugar for rim
- Fresh strawberries and basil leaves for garnish
Make the strawberry puree using a blender. Strain to remove seeds and foam.
Rim the glasses using a lime around the edge, then dip into salt or sugar on a plate. Fill the glass with ice.
Place tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, simple syrup, and 2 oz strawberry puree into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into the prepared glass.
Garnish with lime wedge, fresh strawberry, and basil. Sip and enjoy!
How it’s Made:
The Strawberry Margarita Pendant is made using a series of steps. First, we cut and shape two layers of glass. The pieces are ground to a circle using a diamond grinder. Once the pieces are washed, we carefully arrange glass frits around the outer edge of the glass. After placing the two layers of glass into the kiln, we fire the pendant. We use a low temperature to fuse the circles of glass to ensure the frits retain a salt-like texture.
During the firing, we anneal the glass. This relieves any internal stresses within the glass, giving it more strength and durability so you can enjoy your summer necklace for many years. The colour in this fused glass pendant is the glass itself, which means it will never fade or wash off.
Once the pendant has cooled, we drill each pendant by hand to allow for a wire bail. Next, we tie a black satin weave rayon cord using a special sliding knot. This allows you to adjust the length of the necklace to your preferred length.
