Measuring approximately 4-1/4″x5-1/2″, the design is printed by hand onto a generously weighted card stock. This makes for a sturdy card which is a delight to write on.

The cards are blank inside, to allow them to be used for any occasion, from birthday cards, to anniversary cards, or even sympathy cards. 

Your recipient will want to display the lovely piece of artwork long after the occasion has passed.

How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from heavyweight card stock, we create each Screen Print Card using multiple steps. First, we cut and crease the card stock to the appropriate size. Creasing the card allows for a crisp fold.

We create the design for the screen we want to use. After coating and drying the screen with light sensitive emulsion, we then expose the emulsion using our designs and rinse out the unexposed emulsion. This creates the screen stencil we use to print with. Using acrylic paint mixed with screen printing medium as the ink, we pull the paint over the screen which allows the ink to pass through the open designs on the screen and contact the paper. 

Once we have examined each print for quality and have touched up any defects, we allow the print to dry fully. When the cards have dried, we add details such as watercolour shading, or stamped elements using other coloured paints to complete the detailing on the design.

Lastly, we pair each Screen Print Card with an envelope to complete the set.

Because each art card is hand printed, there may be some variation in the design, creating a unique card every time.
