How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the Resplendent Autumn Standup using multiple steps. First, we create the autumn leaves using powdered glass. Each of the leaves are created one at a time, and unique to itself. The leaves are fired individually until the powder just melts, creating a delicate glass leaf. Next, we cut and polish the clear glass to the appropriate size. Then, we carefully arrange the glass leaves on the sheet glass.

We kiln fire the glass to melt the leaves into the surface of the sheet glass, creating a tactile textured surface. The colour is the glass itself, you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading, or the design washing off. During the firing, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the glass is increased, so you know it will last for as long as you own the glass art.
