How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the Pussy Willow Standup using multiple steps. First, we cut and polish the lavender glass to the appropriate size. Then, we hand paint the branches in organic designs. Once dried, we add the white glass frits for textured catkins. Next, we kiln fire the pieces to melt the design elements into the glass. The colour is the glass itself, you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading or washing off. During the firings, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the glass is increased, so you know it will easily withstand regular use.
