Description

The serene design of the O’ Christmas Tree Lantern is calm and reflective. It will add a sense of zen to your winter decor. Additionally, it lets you bring a little winter nature indoors without the chill and snow. Measuring 6×6″ and 11″ tall, this lantern is a perfect size to add as a beautiful centrepiece on your dining or coffee table. Alternatively, it looks great on an end table or cabinet and is an ideal size for smaller spaces. In addition, the lantern is also safe for outdoor use. As such, you can display your lantern on the front porch as well.

The panels each have their own unique hand painted evergreen design. In other words, no matter which side of the lantern is your favourite, your forest will be viewable from all four sides. The panels are hand crafted and installed into a quality metal lantern, ensuring you will receive a safe and durable lantern. Additionally, the lantern has a hinged door with a magnetic latch. As such, you can easily place your pillar candle or flickering LED light to backlight your evergreens. (Candle not included.)

How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the O’ Christmas Tree Lantern using multiple steps. First, we cut and polish the lavender glass to the appropriate size. The lavender glass has a unique property of showing a pale blue tone in fluorescent light, while showing a warm lavender colour in sunlight.  Next, we hand paint the evergreens using enamels which are kiln-fired into the glass. Because the colour is the glass itself, you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading, or the design peeling or washing off. Finally, we fire the glass panels to a low temperature to ensure the hand painted enamels are sintered into the surface of the glass. During the firing, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the glass is increased, so you know it will easily withstand regular use.
