Measuring approximately 1” in diameter, this sparkling summer necklace will catch eyes and inspire compliments. The minimalist golden colour can easily coordinate with any summer outfit, and the smooth shape is perfect with any neckline!
Exclusive Mimosa Recipe
- 1 (750mL) bottle chilled sparkling wine or Champagne
- 3 cups (750mL) orange juice
Pour the sparkling wine into Champagne flutes, filling each glass half full.
Add the orange juice to top the glass.
Serve and celebrate your fancy brunch, with your fancy friends.
How it’s Made:
The Mimosa Fizz Pendant is made using a series of steps. First, we cut and shape two layers of clear glass. The pieces are ground to a circle using a diamond grinder. Once the pieces are washed, we add a layer of golden enamel. We place the two layers of glass into the kiln, then we fire the pendant. When the enamels heat, they release gases. Because we layer a second piece of clear on top, the top layer traps the gases which results in tiny golden bubbles.
During the firing, we anneal the glass. This relieves any internal stresses within the glass, giving it more strength and durability. This way, you can enjoy your summer necklace for many years. The colour in this fused glass pendant is the enamel itself, which means it will never fade or wash off.
Once the pendant has cooled, we drill each pendant by hand to allow for a wire bail. Next, we tie a black satin weave rayon cord using a special sliding knot. This allows you to adjust the length of the necklace to your preferred length.
