Mimosa Fizz Earrings

How it’s Made:

The Mimosa Fizz Earrings are made using a series of steps. First, we cut long strips of clear glass and polish to sparkling clean. We paint a layer of gold enamel onto the glass and let it dry. Once dried, we place the glass into the kiln and top with a second piece of clear glass to match. We fire the glass to a low temperature to just fuse the two layers and round the edges.

Due to the heat of the firing, the enamel releases gases. Because the enamel is topped with a second piece of glass, the gases are trapped and create tiny golden bubbles.

During the kiln firing, we anneal the glass which relieves internal stress within the glass. This creates a stronger and more durable piece of glass. In other words, you can confidently wear your Mimosa Fizz Earrings every day, not just for special occasions. 

Once cooled, we drill each earring by hand using a diamond drill bit. Then, using a wire bail, we attach a surgical stainless steel ear wire. This hypoallergenic ear wire minimizes any reactions from metal allergies, giving you comfortable, all-day wear!

The colour in these summer earrings is the enamel itself, therefore will never fade or wash off. You can enjoy the vibrant colours for as long as you own the jewelry.
