Measuring approximately 9×6″, this glass decor is a perfect size to bring a piece of nature to your space. Whether you add to your office, or brighten up your mantle, this piece of art is a frosty addition to any space.

The curve of the Icicle Winterscape allows it to stand on edge. By adding a candle, the sparkling texture will glint and shine in your display!

How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the Icicle Winterscape using multiple steps. First, we roll a slab of clay to use as a textured casting mold. Using wooden tools, we press a natural looking icicle texture into the clay. We allow the clay to dry, ensuring it remains perfectly flat. Once dry, we bisque fire the clay to harden for multiple castings.

Next, we cut and polish the clear glass to the appropriate size. Then, we use glass frits to accent the details in the clay. Once the frits have been applied, we carefully place the sheet glass overtop and place the casting mold into the kiln.

We kiln fire the glass to allow the frits and the sheet glass to fuse together. During the firing, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the glass is increased, so you know the Icicle Winterscape will last for as long as you own the glass art.
