This year, you’ll be among friends with the Hangin’ with my Gnomies Window Panel. This minimalist stained glass design is sure to bring a smile to your bestie. Perfect for the person who has everything, this design can easily fit into a window without taking up any room at all!

Measuring approximately 5×12″, this stained glass art is a great size to bring a little winter fun into your home. Ideal for small spaces, even your office could use a little bit of whimsy.

Each of the gnomes has a unique personality. For example; Maurice is a bold and friendly gnome, often getting into mischief by collecting all of the cotton balls. Balfur is the quiet gnome of the bunch, often starting his day in the late evening and watching the sunset with his first cup of hot cocoa. And, of course, Hegrick is the one trying to keep the other two in line, usually unsuccessfully.

How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the Hangin’ with my Gnomies Window Panel using multiple steps. First, we cut and polish the glass to the design pattern. Each of the pieces is shaped by hand to smooth out any rough edges. Next, we wrap each piece with a copper foil. This ensures the pieces of glass are held together by the solder. 

We solder each stained glass piece by hand, ensuring both sides have smooth solder beads. Next, the lead border is cut and attached, along with sturdy rings. A black patina is applied to the solder and the lead to chemically darken the lines, creating a bold look to the piece. Finally, a wax is applied to polish the glass and protect the solder.

The colour in the stained glass is the glass itself. This means you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading or washing off.  You know it will last for many years of enjoyment!
