Description

The Ocean Mix Earrings are a stunning way to bring the ocean to your day. The mix of blue colours will bring you back to the waves crashing at the beach! 

Whether you decide to wear these fused glass earrings for a fancy night out or simply don them to head out for groceries, they easily fit in every time. The moderately sized earrings are slim and lightweight. In other words, you can comfortably wear these earrings all day, every day!

How’s It Made?

Each pair of earrings is crafted by hand in the central Interlake region in Manitoba, Canada. The Ocean Mix Earrings are created using crushed glass called glass frits. First, we created a ceramic mold to create strips of glass. Because the colour is the glass itself, it can never fade or wash off. The earrings will forever remain as vibrant as the day you receive them!

Next, we add the mix of coloured frits into the ceramic mold. We fire the glass enough to just melt together. Once the glass cools, we break the strips of glass into earring lengths and arrange them again in the kiln. Then, we fire the glass to a temperature high enough to round the edges of the glass perfectly.

During the firing process, we anneal the glass. The annealing process strengthens the glass and increases the durability. This means the glass is stronger and can withstand regular daily use!

Once the glass cools to room temperature over many hours, we drill the glass by hand to accept the jewelry hardware. All of our earrings are on surgical stainless steel ear-wires and come with rubber backers so you don’t ever have to worry about them falling off. Lastly, we inspect for quality and package the Ocean Mix Earrings with love.
