How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, the Christmas Bow Bowl is created in multiple stages. First, the base glass is kiln-fired to a smooth finish. Next, the bow elements and dots are added to the surface.  Last, it is slumped into a ceramic mold and cooled into the bowl shape. During each firing, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the bowl are increased, so you know it will easily withstand daily use. All of the design elements in the bowl are the glass itself. In other words, the colours won’t ever fade in the sun, or wash off.
