The Trinity Knot might be one of the most recognisable styles of Celtic Knot. It is known for its three oval loops that overlap each other and are interconnected. This is where the knot derives its Latin name ‘Triquetra’, which means ‘three-cornered’.

The number 3 is significant in ancient Celtic culture, since the Celtic people favoured anything that comes in threes. This is the basis for this Celtic Knot’s meaning, which can be interpreted in various ways, including past, present, and future, or life, death, and rebirth.

Lightweight in design, this fused glass pendant is a joy to wear, at any length you choose. The colours in this Celtic knot jewelry are the glass itself. The design is screen printed using glass enamels, and kiln fired into the surface of the glass. Because the colour is the glass itself, you never have to worry about the colour fading or washing off.

How it’s made:

The Celtic Trinity Knot Pendant is created using multiple steps. First, we create the Celtic knot design and expose it into a silk screen. Next, we cut two layers of sheet glass to the correct size. We kiln-fire the blank pendants to ensure the two layers of glass fully fuse together and the edges round. 

Using glass enamels, we print the design onto the glass. Once it dries, we inspect for quality and touch up as necessary. Then, we return the pendants to the kiln for a low-temperature firing to sinter the enamels into the surface of the glass.

During the firing process, the pendant is annealed for durability. Because of this, the fused glass jewelry is strong enough for daily wear. With multiple colours to choose from, you’ll be able to find the one that suits you best.

We drill the Celtic Trinity Knot Pendant to allow for the wire jewelry bail, and string the black satin weave rayon cording. We tie the cord using a double sliding knot, which allows the pendant length to be adjusted from approximately 25″ long, to as short as a choker style necklace.
