Measuring approximately 5×6″, this glass decor is a perfect size to add to your home. Whether you add to your office, or brighten up your counter, this piece of art is a joyous addition to any space.

With two design colours to choose from, you can decide on which style suits your space. Display your choice of fused glass art in a wooden block display, clear acrylic easel, locally collected driftwood, or the new LED base. All of the display options allow light to travel through the glass, for a sparkling and glowing display!

How’s It Made?

Handcrafted from art glass, we create the Butterfly Garden Standup using multiple steps. First, we create the tiny butterflies using powdered glass in a low-temperature firing. The powder melts and creates a delicate glass wafer to be added to the artwork. Next, we cut and polish the sheet glass to the appropriate size. Then, we paint the milkweed stalks using glass enamels. Once the enamel has dried and inspected for any defects, we arrange the glass frits for the milkweed flowers. Last, we carefully add the delicate butterflies to the design.

We kiln fire the glass to allow the frits and the sheet glass to fuse together. The colour is the glass itself, therefore you won’t ever have to worry about the colour fading or washing off. During the firing, the glass is annealed. Because of this, the strength and durability of the glass is increased, so you know it will last for as long as you own the glass art.
