Measuring approximately 1” in diameter, this summer necklace will catch eyes and inspire compliments and smiles! The vibrant colour can add some life to any summer outfit, and the smooth shape is perfect with any neckline!
Exclusive B52 Recipe
- 1/3 oz coffee liqueur
- 1/3 oz Irish cream liqueur
- 1/3 oz Grand Marnier liqueur
Pour the coffee liqueur into a shot glass.
Slowly, layer the Irish cream on top of the coffee liqueur, pouring onto a spoon to ensure the two don’t mix.
Repeat with the Grand Marnier, again pouring onto the spoon to not displace the first two layers.
Admire your work! Good job. Bottoms up!
How it’s Made:
The B52 Pendant is made using a series of steps. First, we cut the three colours of glass in long thin strips. We fire the strips carefully at a low temperature to fuse the edges together evenly.
Once cooled, we cut the strips into squares. We grind the squares into circles using a diamond grinder. Once the pieces are washed, we place the coloured layer of glass into the kiln and top with a clear circle. Then we fire the pendant to fully fuse all of the layers together.
During the firing, we anneal the glass. This relieves any internal stresses within the glass, giving it more strength and durability so you can enjoy your summer necklace for many years. The colour in this fused glass pendant is the glass itself, which means it will never fade or wash off.
Once the pendant has cooled, we drill each pendant by hand to allow for a wire bail. Next, we tie a black satin weave rayon cord using a special sliding knot. This allows you to adjust the length of the necklace to your preferred length.
